Engineering And Technology
As the main driving force for business growth through constant technical innovation, our Engineering and Technology Division plays an essential role in our continued success here at Cobham. We achieve this by ensuring that every aspect of each project lifecycle, from customer liaison all the way to customer delivery is conducted in a professional, meticulous and highly efficient manner.
Through an integrated approach, we work within innovative and highly coordinated teams that produce cutting-edge products in our key operational sites in the US, UK, Canada and South Africa. Across these, we have built up an excellent reputation for delivering state-of-the-art systems and sub systems into the defence market, especially in the lucrative US market.
So, if you join us, you'll find that no two days are ever the same. The diverse and fast-moving nature of each project means you'll work with a wide range of professionals and customers, often on an international level. You'll also discover that projects are always evolving, as new technical developments come online. This makes the whole process even more stimulating and exciting.
When you start your Engineering and Technology Graduate Training Programme, you'll immediately contribute to live situations, perform a number of key roles - and quickly become a vital member of your project team. Gradually, as your skills and confidence develop, you'll take on more and more responsibility and more complex work.
We'll also give you plenty of scope when it comes to developing your career. For example, just because you join with an Electronics degree doesn't mean you'll be permanently pigeonholed in electronics. If you have a flair for, say, systems, then we'll give you the opportunity to move across. This flexibility also makes us stronger, as it enables a strong 'cross fertilisation' of skills and expertise into different technical areas.
